DMS is back in action!

After initially closing DMS back in November, I truly missed not being in the loop of Marketing news....not being able to bring to you the stories that I thought were either industry changing, or just plain out of left field. And so, I aim to get my hands dirty in bringing the news to you and will try to post as often as I can.
I am still working at a Marketing position for a lighting manufacturer, and I have to admit, for being such a large company with a large facility, they chose a niche market. Very odd as I explained to the 70-year owner who suddenly decided digital marketing was too low of an ROI for him as well as print advertising, and so I adjusted to a more grass roots approach. A much more user friendly site, newsletters tied to large vendors for SEO, blog articles, new product category content pages, and a whole lot of trade shows. The owners here prefer a face-to-face approach. Which is exactly what the doctor ordered for a niche customized product, you need feet on the floor to explain the solution to their need.
